Loosing a little bit of coolant
I got this one: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/land-rover-saab-dex-cool-engine-coolant-antifreeze-1-gallon-zerex-zxel1 It's orange, not pink, for ford/Chrysler/gm. There's a version of Zerex for VW/Audi/etc that is pink. I don't think you're supposed to mix them. -

Oil cooler hose to radiator - o-ring size?
I'm about to do the radiator and noticed the connector from the oil cooler will need to be moved over. It's the LR059162 pipe. Does this have an o-ring inside it (seems similar to the *** coolant connectors) and if so does anyone know the size?- John Higgins

I didn't lube it but there was coolant in the hole so hopefully it will be fine. The old pipe looked just fine to me, but I wouldn't have known that w/out replacing it. Unless there was a weak point unseen I'd guess it had at least 20k left on it but who knows.- powershift

Thanks for the info!! So based on your first comment you are pointing at the upstream oxygen sensor? I also checked those in the scanner and bank 1 is definitely not doing the right thing... check out the latest video, this with the car warmed up in drive holding the brake... it is not smooth... -

Metal in my Oil LR2 2013
The sprockets fail due to poor machining of the housing. There's a weak spot at one of the fasteners. Oil changes and coolant quality has no affect on their life span. Does not seem to be failing on, but a few vehicles.- Rover Range

maintenance history since new 2013
Like I said before, water pumps are not worth going cheap. My Beck Arnley failed in 3k miles. Redoing the job + coolant. Also agree withe LCAs. Cheap ones fail fast and there is alignment cost. What your time worth is always a consideration. In general I agree that the age of the V8s these are... -

I don't know that answer, but if it is just a valve that shuts off the flow through that rear heater core, that doesn't mean it's shut off the circuit from the rest of the system: if there is pressure anywhere in the system, it'll try to find a way out. Imagine a hose with a leak in it about... -
