Range Rover Sport Supercharged 2010 v. 2012 Thinking about trading up from the 2006 LR3 SE V8 to a Range Rover Sport Supercharged. @mbw -on my lr3 in co they flat out suck in snow and ice; I now run snow tires b/c the coopers are so bad in snow -
Ford ESP Warranty Term Suggestions Please
i've got a Ford ESP Premium Care - when I bought - the terms extended the original Factory Warranty. So - when I got the 7/100K warranty, because of the extension nature, it really functions like a 3/50K warranty. Don't know if that still the case - but it has definitely been worth the money -

@paul - did you run 91 back in CO? i always run 85 - no issues - 91 @ high altitude drives my truck nuts (warnings, blinking lights, etc.) when you coming back out this way to wheel? - kelby -
Loud Fan and Reduced Throttle
its a 2006 - gas cap is definitely not the issue - i can get it to come on like clock work running 91 octane, in grass,gravel,snow mode going up loveland pass from a-basin .. been in the dealer twice b/c of it - agree its screwy. -

where's the loud sound come from? i get a loud sound out of the front right side of the vehicle ever since they did a "software update" on the transmission.. was quoted by the dealer its the sound of the "purge fuel injector" its a loud pinging sound like in the old days when you experienced... -

If you have the Heated Windscreen...
i think if you use the "program setting" its time shorter due to the blast of air at the windshield (aka defroster). but if you just use the button by itself, it may stay on longer. this am it was really cold here and the heated windshield stayed on for all 15 minutes of my commute. -

i don't know.. but i suspect the amount of time it stays on is temperature related. i noticed that when it was -8 here in colorado a week back, it stayed on much longer than when it is 32ish. -

no issues from my dealer either. sounds like you're dealer wants you to buy a different set of tires that he offers :) -
snow vs. slush
wet snow is by far worse to drive in that dry snow. depending on the tread pattern, you'll most likely end up "hydroplaning" instead of cutting through it. -

bob - you'll be fine. i've driven a lot of different cars and suvs on ice and snow (northern michigan guy) and the LR3 handles great. you'll be fine. the key as has been mentioned, is to go slow. its better to use the engine to brake you than the brakes. but, don't be afraid to use the brakes... -
