Trailer light failure
update on trailer light failure I tested the 7 pin connector on the LR3 harness and it does have running light voltage. The 4 pin connector does not, so I'm guessing there is a bad wire/corroded connection in the end of the LR3 wiring harness. I'm going to pull it and check the wires behind...- madtownrover

Trailer light failure
My trailer's running (tail) lights failed on a recent trip home. I tested the LR3 4 pin and it appears there is no voltage to the running light. The trailer brake and turn signals work fine and test fine at the LR3 harness. As far as I can tell, there is no fuse controlling the trailer...- madtownrover

Anyone have the Traxide Dual Bat kit?
I have the dual battery kit... works fine. Installation was straight forward. I use the "always powered" rear outlets all the time to run accessories...small refrigerator, compressor, charging electronic dog collars, powering fans, etc. highly recommend the kit.- madtownrover

Problem with LED trailer lights
Replaced my trailer lights with some LEDs and have a few strange symptoms. The lights perform all the required functions just fine, but always have a faint residual flashing on the bulbs that are not actually performing. Nice...glad to hear some more real experience talking . Proper compounds are the number one priority. FYI, Carbotech built me a set of street pads a couple of weeks ago...very pleased with performance and dust levels, all for less than Ferodo, OEM, etc. I have had outstanding experience...- madtownrover

Remove the dead pedal (two bolts) couple of kick panels (about 4 snap in clips), the sill cover (about seven clips), lower b pillar cover (2 clips) and about three screws on the tailgate flap. I finished my install last week. Nice to have the two "always on" outlets. Install was pretty straight forward, just a couple little snafus. 1) there is no unused grommet in the firewall as indicated in the instructions. No big deal, I ran the cables through a grommet that had a wire loom...- madtownrover

IMHO, after running lots of slotted brake rotors on street vehicles and track cars, it is just bling on the street applications. Even on track, marginally better performance, and then only if you have everything else right (compound, temp, proper bedding, etc). Slots just aren't that useful...- madtownrover

I haven't made a decision yet. I think slotted/dimpled rotors are probably just "bling" on an LR3...and I have no use for bling, especially when it costs more. I am leaning toward OEM. Brake dust isn't that big a deal since my truck is dirty most of the time anyway, but I won't put pads on...- madtownrover

Yea, I thought about the slots and noise, I run slotted rotors on my Audi and they definitely make some noise. I could probably live with it....might drown out some of the excess tire noise:rolleyes:- madtownrover

At what gas price will you sell your LR3?
I'll keep mine... Resale value will be pretty dismal with $4-5 gas and dealer lots full of Suburbans and Expeditions :rolleyes: Might as well keep it for when you need it.- madtownrover

LR3 worst used vehicle... My LR3 is sitting in the driveway with a bad diff, stuck in access height, check engine light illuminated for the third time this month, failing NAV screen and a cracked $800 windshield. Great truck, but not sure I'd buy a used one. 10 days to get a service...- madtownrover
