2013 to 2014 Face Lift Headlight Install

I have been meaning to do this for years but finally got around to ordering them. This was a dramatic difference, my other headlights were terrible no matter what bulbs I put in there. These are HID plug and play, no issues worked immediately.

I have the black grill from powerful UK with the bottom trim panel but I won’t be installing that until I do the Lazer Lamps 750 kit. I will update this thread after.

If you were debating I wouldn’t put it off. All in it’s probably about $1500 including trim and $50 in customs duties. Valeos came with bulbs from LR Centre so no surprises, barely needed adjustment.

The new ones are xenon too correct or are they aftermarket led? Why were the old ones awful? Were the housings (internal) dirty?

My vehicle was factory equipped with xenons. These are OEM Valeos - they make the LR lights. If you want them to say land rover they are an additional $1000+ per set.

I think the aiming mechanism was off, if I adjusted the low beam to be useful the high beam was in the clouds. Others have had the same problem. I never noticed until pitch black driving where I am now.

The Valeos @wallyyfm got are the LHD euro-beam pattern, which has almost always been better than the NAS pattern in every headlight ever made. NAS requires squirrel spotters, for example, which is almost a requirement for a terrible beam pattern.

I did the exact same thing in November 2020. Would never go back.

Link to the replacements you purchased? I have halogens on my 2016 LR4 Base and they are AWEFUL.
