Air Suspension/BECM Problem???

I have a 1997 RR 4.0. I continually get a dash readout of LH Door Open when the door is not open. Opening and closing the door does not help. Sometimes the readout says RH door open and usually opening and closing the door will make the readout go away. The problem is that my air suspension will not work when the "door open" message is displayed. Is this a common problem?? Do you suspect the lock assembly or BECM or ??? Any help would be appreciated. Is there a way to trouble shoot this without going to the dealer??

replace driver door latch. common problem.
The car's logic is that if the door is open, the air suspension should not move up or down.
