Interesting concept but the trick would be mounting it to a successful place on the frame... and like the factory winch basket it decreases the departure angle.

I personally like the hidden winch concept because at least it keeps the stock angles, and of course a steel bumper would be the most ideal, but for a cheaper alternative i would go hidden winch.

Just my $.02

That is a bad idea
Why not get the hidden mount from D44?

I have checked your site several times but I can't seem to find the mount you refer to. Also other products do not seem to have a photo to see what they are or look like.

I picked up a mount from uncle ray from the UK.

This is the one he's referring to: Devon 4x4 Hidden Winch (not petrol)

Looks like a nice piece of kit, but it specifically states not suitable for petrol models which rules all of us in the USA out of it, unless I'm missing something. Shame, as I'd be very tempted by it otherwise.

LOL, all those skids, and not a scratch on it. Not even the gas tank!

That truck was finished the day before Billing. They did not even have a chance to use it. There are a lot of companies out there making stuff but not using it. Devon is not one of them. They are well know for winning many of the off road challenges in the UK
