Can larger tires affect the ABS?

I have just recently installed a spacer lift to my 96 Disco, with the interest of putting larger tires( 245/75/16 instead of the factory 235/70/16). With the lift the tires will fit, but the tech at the tire shop will not install the tires without a letter from the dealer asuring him that the ABS and similar components will not be affected by the larger tires. Has anyone her of the ABS being affected by tire size.

ABS is not effected by tire size that I am aware of... I would find a different tire shop.
