my cruise control does not work, I checked the visible vacuem lines, but I can not figure out how to check the one going under the jack please help.

You should be able to reach behind the drivers side headlight and down. There is a hole that that contains the vacuum pump. you should be able to wiggle it out and check the lines there.
Also you have a vacuum line that goes to the brake area under the dash.
You will also need to check and make sure the cruise shutoff switch on the brake peddle is working correctly.
Does the Cruise light on the dash come on - if yes check everything about, if no, then check fuses.

my cruise light does not come on, on the dash. I will check fuses. Thank You I just bought this 1998 disco and I am trying to repair all the little things.
