Its probably easier to start from the interior inside, poke through, then pull it from the engine bay. Depends on your connectors. I always put the connector on last, and feed the wires through from the interior.

That does sound a lot easier:smile:

Can you see the grommet clearly from the interior when you remove the panel under the steering wheel?

  • So remove panel under the steering wheel
  • Poke small hole from the interior out
  • Then run wires from interior out
    • Then run wires through to the center console, where the switch will be

Please let me know if I am missiing anything else:smile:

For what its worth, the factory nav system just isn't that great. A $300 Garmin will serve you better.

+1, we almost never use the onboard GPS, always plug in the Garmin.

Lately, I find myself turning off the screen at night so it isn't so bright.

They also want $200+ to load the latest maps.
