I’m looking into trying to add the locking rear. I have found an 08 LR3 with the locking rear the control module and all of the wiring but I’m not sure if the parts are the same from an lr3 and lr4. Would anyone be able to help with that?

The differential gearing is a different ratio between LR3 and LR4. Even if everything works, you'll have to replace the front diff, too, then hope that doesn't make any other computer stuff go all screwy.

I have found that all of the wiring for the module was inside already. I have the control module installed and according to my gap tool the module is communicating. I also now have the unlocked icon at the rear diff on my display inside. What I can’t find is the temp sensor connector and the clutch actuator connector under the truck.

The temp sensor and lock actuator connectors will be part of the diff harness. Not pre wired.

On the left side of the vehicle, right behind the rear wheel (on top of the frame rail) . There's a 48 pin connector. On yours, the connector will be capped off.
The rear diff harness plugs into this connector.

Are you saying there would be a separate plug or the wires for the diff harness go in one of the open spaces in the 48 pin connector
