I have an '06 LR3 SE and I can't figure out if the headrest is removable from the rear (2nd row) middle seat? I have yet to have anyone sit in this seat and it is quite a distraction/obstruction when looking out of the rear view mirror. Does anyone know if this can easily be removed? Am I missing something or just stupid?????

Yes, all of them can come off... a small flush button on the, uh, grommet-like thing where the head-restraint slides into.

Thanks. I messed with this for a few minutes and gave up, couldn't figure it out (I'm not known for patience...). With my '04 Discovery, this was most easily removed. I'll mess with this one some more. Thanks again.

When I pull the headrests to lay the seats down, I push the little push in button with one hand and the key to push the "hidden" button in, while pulling up.

Also, I think that you'll find your auto dimming rear view mirror works better with that middle row headrest removed. Whenever cars get close up from behind, that headrest will cast a shawow on the mirror and made it stop dimming.

I just read that last sentence back to myself and doubt if it will make any sense to anyone. Sorry, but I can't really explain it better.
