After further review, it appears my D2 was struck by lightning while we were on vacation. The car had a bad BCU ( which was replaced) and the codes that wouldn't clear were real codes. They had a "loaner" vehicle that they tested parts with and it appears that it has a bad SRS, ABS and transmission ECU. the Mechanic asked if there was any chance that the car was jumped with reversed polarity. The car wouldn't start when we got home and I am 100% sure I didn't cross wires. We also lost a TV in the house while we were gone from the electrical storm we had.
With a lightning strike, what else should I be on the lookout for?
