Hi all,

I did the lower bushings on my control arms yesterday. Although I tried to put it back as close as possible to the original setup the alignment is obviously way off, as is the steering.

End result, it throws HDC and suspension codes and lowers itself.

I'm taking it for an alignment in a few days anyway, and it's not being driven in the meantime. But.... I'd love to know how to center a steering wheel :)

Any hints?

You just have to adjust both tie rod ends in the direction the steering wheel is off. For example if the steering wheel is center and the car steers to the right you adjust the right side tow in and the left side tow out by the same increments to steer straight when the wheel is centered. if it is off enough then the steering angle sensor will generate the error you are getting. Yes an alignment will correct this.
