So i was headed to the Mexican restaurant for the $4.20 lunch special today and as I'm making the left across traffic, a Jeep Grand Cherokee plows into the back of me going 45 mph. It knocked me clear into the other lane and thank God no one was coming.

The teen driving the Jeep told the cops she wasn't paying attention and was going about 45. Not smart.

So you think they can put her back together?

I'm happy I wasn't in a Ford Focus.

Ouch, glad to hear you are okay though. And yes I would say the LR3 is totaled.

I usually get Huevos con Chorizo, however the special ends at 2:00 and I didn't make it.

actually for your sake i hope it is. (totalled) some things are never the same after they are repaired, although some things are better. at least if they are gonna fix it, get a rear bumper or tire carrier out of the deal. im sure the prices are close. not good for her insurance. from what i know they dont have "chinese" land rover parts like every other car make out there. glad your ok. good luck with the whole ordeal.

That's my fear, is that 2 weeks after i get it back there will be suspension faults and who knows what else. Plus I can only imagine how long it will take to fix.

I got a rental and Enterprise only had an Infiniti G35x available. At least i didn't get a Hyundai.

Glad you are OK - those photos and your ability to write a note so quickly are a testament to the LR3's safety.

I loved my G35x (2004), and the new one is even better. It is no LR3, but hopefully you'll enjoy it in the meantime.

I don't think it's totalled, personally... I guess we'll find out. I've seen far more substantial repair work, with perfect results.

I'm glad you are okay. My money is on NOT a total. I've had one simmiliar, but impact point was r/r @ the wheel and bent the frame beyond repair. (I made damn sure it wasn't going to total before I ordered that upI). With a good body shop, it will all be just like new in a month or so!
