either i have some mad max ****** siphoning all my gas or my LR3 is just not as efficient as she used to be. All tires have proper air, i drive the same highway mileage as always. I own a 2006 LR3 V8 and live in the northeast US. I have 12000 miles on my rover and now get 12.5 mpg or 250-270 miles per tank. this is pretty horrible in my opinion. I only use premium fuel and checked my air filter for any blockage. The first few thousand miles got me about 330 miles to tank and 15-16 mpg. what are some of you getting on yours? please include mileage.

I have an 05 SE7. My gas mileage (by hand and by computer) has fluctuated from 12.5 to 22 mpg, during my 35,000+ miles. The last few weeks, the temperature has been below freezing every day and my fuel economy has been at the low end of the range. The same thing happened last winter.

Having the same problem due to the cold in the NJ\NY area. I did all highway driving yesterday, and only got about 15 mpg.

so far i guess im not too far out of the scope. i would say that this has been for the last 5 or 6 tankfuls. we did have some snowy roads and less than perfect conditions in the past week. so i knew i wound not get great mileage then. but the last few tankfuls have been consistantly low. i dont know how much you can trust the MPG of what the computer gives, but i know from a full tank to the low gas light is about 255 miles. i usually dont run gas below 1/4 tank, but the last few weeks i wanted to test. ill see what LR has to say.

It's the cold. Over the past couple winters, I have noticed a dramatic drop of 3-4mpg (even on the highway) when it's cold.

I would also wonder what types of additives you are getting in you fuel. I noticed here in WV they are now adding at least 10% ethonal or something, and my fuel economy has dropped 3 - 4 MPG... I am not happy.

that is definetely another issue. in my old job, we sold many fuel treatments for winter gas and diesel. i know that many people in this area still use iso alcohol treatment to remove all possible water in fuel, and of course diesel anit gels. the fuel is definetely different here in the winter, plus the ethanol this year could really be hurting me also. i just wanted to see where everyone else was at before i shake up my dealer.

i also noticed a 2mpg drop as soon as i started using the E10. when it was first coming in, i tried some pre E10 fuel and the mileage went back up. the same thing happen on my other car.

27000 miles, 13.4 MPG. Using 93 Octane @ sealevel. I agree about the E10 impact.

(off topic) Techboydino, whereabouts in southeast PA are you?

glad to hear i'm not the only one in this boat...i have an 06 V8 HSE with 8,000 km (approx. 5000 miles)...i'm in ontario, canada and am currently getting between 10.5 - 13 mpg (according to the info centre) in mixed city/hwy driving...it drops to as low as 8 mpg when in straight city driving. i got the truck in october, and was averaging between 14 - 17 before winter set in - i'm hoping this will get better when the weather warms up!!
