Gentlemen,

I've had my 2011 LR4 for about 8 months now and I have made an appointment to get my windows tinted on Saturday. I'm planning to get the Huper Optic Ceramic 35% on all windows except for the windshield. Has anybody done this yet? Out of everyone, I would expect that someone in here has done it and could make recommendations. I'm curious if putting the 35% on the back windows in addition to the factory tint will make them just too dark. Any thoughts?

How dark is the original tint? To me it is dark enough, so I will be tinting front windows to match the rest, and create a 6" line at the top of windshield...

I tinted the front windows to match the back. I didn't want to go too much more because I don't want to deal with a bored cop stoping me because he can't see my handsome face. If I am not mistaken, the tint was like 20% or maybe I bit higher, 30% is the legal limit in WI, according to the "dude" who installed them. I want to "tint" the tail lights some. Have anyone done it?

tints in the front are illegal here in the tri-state regardless of percentage. they wont stop you for tint, but they will give you a hard time if you get stopped and they see you have tint. font tints, though, might be more of invitation to get stopped.

also, would the windshield tint affect the heating elements?

No state allow windshield...But really, Range Rover, Evoque, Rolls Royce, MB S class, BMW 7. They all have coated windshield...is that tinted? Cops never care...Air 80 is light enough to hardly notice....

I found out that as long as you look nice, don't tint your window 100%, and make the front window less% than rear..cops leave you alone...

I think the % is really how you want your car to look like. Choose a good brand of film is the key.
