Had similar problems myself, voted with my feet and now couldn't be happier with my service. Bummer you have to deal with it in the first place. -

Help Picking up new Tires... HSE
Love my Pirellis thus far. Good price, very quiet and can handle dirt tracks pretty well. They look pretty sweet too. -

Yep, full-size spare is probably the best tell but Boaz's test can tell you for certain. -
rear hatch recall?
Mine popped-out as well. The Stealer screwed it halfway back in (crossthread) without bothering to place a washer on it. Make sure they fix it correctly - it's dangerous. -

Anyone over 100K?
Don't do it unless you KNOW or have absolute faith in the car's history. Otherwise incremental cost for a lower mileage vehicle is worth it in this case. Shoot, I love my rig but am very nervous about rolling over 50k w/o a warranty (as with Audis or any other performance oriented car). -
Never Coming Back Again
I wouldn't have loaned any friend of mine my ready-to-explode Ford Explorer back in the day... it's illogical to apply the problem from that particular car to the aggregate. Your instincts were right, you should not have taken those keys. Trust your gut next time. -

There's a relatively recent post on the newly available 19" Pirellis you may want to search for. Great for freeway and light offroading. -

Just noticed a new HSE tire at Tire Rack
I'll bust out the camera - nice looking tire IMHO Put 600 miles on them down a variety of highways two days ago, no dirt yet. Really quiet, nice and grippy, no flat spots as of yet. Didn't seem to tramline as much as the OEMs... so far so good. -

I have some funk like your white spots that on my hood - will not come off with clay bar or anything... my guess it is probably some bird crap that was left on the paint too long by the prior owner and damaged the clear coat. Ticks me off. But I think richpike is right, some of your marks do... -

Just picked up the Pirelli ATRs yesterday after squeezing 30k out of the OEMs... so far so good - I'll report any issues. I've been a fan of the P Zero Neros on my Audi, hoping for the same on the LR3. Lack of 19" selection is pretty frustrating, -
