There I was wondering why they looked a little wavy on top. Looked underneath and they are rotted out and almost gone. Guess I should look under it more often.

yeah the steps on my 2010 rotted away. There was nothing left so I pulled them.

just had to replace both of mine on my 2013 with 100k miles.

Yep - that's what mine look like. It must be time more than anything - I'm a '13 as well. I went the cheap route for now and bought the non-OEM equivalents that claim to be Aluminum. I wanted to go with sliders but in reality this ride hasn't been offroad more than a gravel road or farm trail every so often. I have yet to get my toy LR3 for that fun. ;)

Well, they're knockoffs so $108 shipped. I expect that a few hours on my back and I'll be able to swap them out for nothing. If they suck I didn't get pulled in too far that I'm losing much by risking it.

Needed a pneumatic hammer to rip the stock ones apart as the bolts snapped or wouldn’t spin free. Huge mess. Replacements fit right on the oem brackets.
