Hey all, This past fall, I bought a new-to-me 2013 LR4 with 72,000 miles on it, immediately had the cooling system reworked and the vehicle fully vetted, and put new tires and wheels on. Once it was ready, I did a 2 week 1800 mile solo trip around the deserts of Southern California. I finally (!) got the photos posted up in case anybody is interested. The map of the full route is the very last slide.

Enjoy! If you have any questions, let me know.

Amazing to me that's it's still possible to get lost in North America.

Great pictures.

Thanks. Yes, it was incredible that I pretty much spent 2 weeks with nobody else in sight, and on dirt roads. Also, the truck performed absolutely flawlessly from start to finish, whether it was 75 mph on the freeway, 30 mph down wide sandy washes, or 0.3 mph crawling up "Difficult/Red" trails. Only thing I missed was the rear locker but was able to overcome that as needed with a tiny bit of "considered momentum", as they say.

Looks great! I've been wanting to take my LR4 down the Mojave Road. Any issues with the last water crossing?

I drove north up the middle of the Mojave and then intersected the east-west crossing road and then drove west on it and then out the NW corner so I didn't cross it. I could be incorrect but I thought that the big water crossing was on the eastern half of the east-west route.

When I first saw photo #57 my first reaction was "OH $H!T, did he lose his rear axle???!!!!"...

Haha, I just looked at that photo. It does look like I ripped out the rear axle. Thankfully, no such thing happened!!

It is actually near the western end of the road. I'd heard it was a bit deep this winter and some people were having to take a highway route around it
