To add: the 510hp SC v8 did not go away and continues to this day in FFRRs and RRSes. The 375hp N/A v8 got replaced by the SCv6.

here's this regarding v6/v8 comparison; essentially the same block casting just with smaller cylinder bore/****** for the scv6:

My thinking is that this would be a much easier swap on the later LR4s since it will (should) just drop in. The electronics may be different but since HP Tuners supports '14 and up, it may not be as difficult. I wonder if the scv6 and scv8 have the same type of ECUs; if so, a simple re-map may be all thats needed....

LR038618 seems to be the ECU part number that comes back for both v6sc and v8sc rovers... Presumably, the firmware is different across different models -- I can't imagine its just a CCF change?
