Looks awesome. I like the specs and design. Just worry on low volume pricing.

Did you see the poll at the end of the car and driver article asking which you'd rather have? Pretty telling.

Those tents look cool and convenient, but after doing serious wheeling with a couple hundred pounds of crap on the roof, I swore never again.

That experience was what drove me to build a sleeping platform and figure out a way to mount everything low on the truck. My rack really just serves as viewing platform at this point with my bridging ladders used as flat flooring for the rack.

My advice to everyone on roof tents, is to proceed with caution.
Agree. It's, as usual, really about what you plan to do with your vehicle. For me, the RTT has been great because I am mostly getting to remote spots to basecamp and explore on a dual sport mc without serious wheeling. It also allows for a second sleeping set-up inside. I'm not saying everyone would want to, but the fact you can sleep four (6 if you got the larger RTT) in this configuration is pretty nice.

Wow. Was it so hard for Land Rover to just update the Defender? This new Grenadier is the bomb. If it prices anywhere near the Defender..

Land rover dropped the ball big time with the new "offender". Ineos' Grenadier is picking up the ball and going for the touch with what should have been. My 1986 defender doesn't have 83 ecm's controlling my old school, but VERY reliable 200tdi diesel. It's simple and to the point. No bells and whistle....just purpose built. Now that the Grenadier has been unvailed they have my attention now!

If Land Rover had a lick of sense, they'd fire McGovern and buy these guys out ASAP. This is EXACTLY what the Defender should have been. Jeep and Mercedes knew how to do it and here's Land Rover 'McGoverning' yet another classic.
