Sorry, I should have been more speciffic. A used pump from a reliable person recommended by someone here. I flushed the sytem with several quarts of ATF and refilled with ATF and lucas. -

Joey is absolutey right, however in my case it was a little more complicated than that. You probably have a small leak some where in the cooling system, so when the system is cooling off after you dirve it is sucking in air through the leak. This air alway s seems to get traped in the heater... -

Thanks Joey, Thats what I figured I just needed someone to agree with me. I don't suppose there is a screen or a filter anywhere in the system that could get plugged with nasties after a pump failure? I'll give it another drain this weekend. Thanks again. -

I just put on the p/s pump from rover guy. This guy is great I called him on Friday and after a 30 second conversation he knew what I needed and sent me a better pump at a better price than I could find it anywhere else. WOW! -

Me too, just waiting on the rotoflex to get here. I just put on a p/s pump so I didn't feel like crawling under it to check the big phillips screw just yet. -

That would be my guess, although I haven't tried. I have the yoke off now replacing u-joints and rotoflex. I will pull the screw and drum to inspect the brake tonight and let you know. -

So I am replacing the p/s pump and getting the fan off is problematic. I removed the three bolts that I thought held the fan on. As it turns out it only holds on the pully. So now the belt is off and the pully is loose. So in order to keep the fan from turning while I used a big cresent on the... -

I'm not sure but I dont think you have to remove that big nut, Mine has a very large phillips screw (just one) off center but underneath where the yoke is. It looks to me like that is what holds that drum in place. It wouldn't take much because normally the pressure of the yoke being tight...
