Hi everyone
I have a 98 discovery that I really like, but we are having trouble with the ABS system. One of the mechanics said it was 4K for a new system! Is there a way to determine what I need, and can I safely put a used one in my truck? I hate to put 4K into it - I would also like to know where you would recommend buying used parts in North America (Washington state) thank you!

Amanda, welcome to the forum... 4K for ABS fix... hmmm lets just say I fixed my ABS a lot cheaper than that... but I don't recommend it for everyone, since without ABS some people don't know how to drive or stop.

The odds are it is either a dirty or bad ABS sensor... could be dirty brake fluid or even your brakes need replaced... Rover brakes don't last much more than 25k miles more if mostly highway driving, less if all city.
