I had a 1193 code that has been fixed. Now it says "code" on the radio dislay when you
turn it on, everything els works fine. Oh yeah, it's a disco 1 -98.
The troubleshooting tool manual says: "when DTC:s are erased the I/M readiness monitor status program resets status of all the monitors to a not run "flashing" condition. To set all of the monitors to a done status, an OBD 2 drive cycle must be performed"

Does this apply or do I just press the ERASE button ? and what about the radio?

Thank god for forums!

Anyways, forget about the radio, I'll have to get the unlock code from a dealership
since there is no "code card" in our paperwork. Funny this is the first time it happens
after 8 years of ownership. My code reset question remains though ^^^^^

Disconnecting battery from radio or vehicle if you will is why your radio doesn't work. Best to get the code and write it down. Three tries and then you'll have to let it set with no battery for ten or so minutes before you try it again.

Do you have the factory code number for your radio, if not, you'll need to have the dealer get it from Rover, if they still have it.
