Heavy-Duty Package

What exactly is the "heavy-duty package" and why do I or not want it? Other than it sounds very like a very manly thing to have.

The "Heavy-duty package" is a rear locking differential and a full size spare wheel/tire. Base LR3 has a single center locking differential and a mini-spare. In some intense off-road scenarios, a locking rear may help.

In any bad traction situation, a locking rear helps. Full-size spare is helpful in that, well, it's full size so there's no speed or mileage limitation.
