Major issue

It Justin again guys....
Have 98 years model.. complete top end of motor redone... I was having brake problems few months ago.. the abs would kick in and start to slow the vehicle down. So I was told buy some guys to just pull the fuses for the abs.. I did that , things have been ok, bit lately the brake light comes on every once in a while... Yesterday was first Tim to take a good road trip , I was driving about 75-80 mph, and felt the brake petal get hard ad a brick... So as I kept driving something kicked in to make the vehicle slow down.. like the and does, but my fuses are pulled out... I waited for a while and jiggled the brake pedal around and it cam loose , but for 1 or 2 miles driving I had no brakes at all.. we made it to our spot on beach , and after an hour if the vehicle sitting then I had pressure on brake pedal and its working..... Also on way home from beach another light popped up and I think it is the transmission temp light... Looks red and like a little thermometer... Do I need to just change fluid and filter on that issue....
All help is greatly appreciated....
She's a good truck , just minor issues.

You have some balls driving it around with brake issues of any kind, let alone no abs.

Might be worth taking it to someone who knows how to work on it.

Brake light is normally an indicator of low brake fluid or the parking brake is on. By the sounds of your issues, I would stop driving it and have it taken to a brake specialist and have them look it over.

ABS should never just kick in while driving unless you press the brake and having no brakes or a hard pedal sounds serious in any book.

I wouldn't drive it across the street until you have sorted out brake issues. Who cares if it goes if you can't stop when you get there.
