Is there a way to undo a programmed FOB setting without going to the dealer? On our 08 RR everytime I grab the "spare FOB" and unlock the doors the driver seat goes all the way back and almost all the way down. I presume the previous owner did this and he must have been the size of Andre the Giant if he actually needed the seat in that position. I thought I had read the FOB programming had to be done by the dealer and so I never investigated undoing it. Nothing is programmed to the main FOB, so it's a sporadic event and not a major deal, but strange nontheless.

Can't you just disable Lazy Entry from the Settings menu? It was possible to disable it on my 2006 RRS, but not sure about the 08 Range Rover. Alternatively, have you tried moving the seat / mirrors / steering wheel to your liking (when using the Andre the Giant fob) and doing a memory save? In theory, that setting should override whatever the previous owner of the fob memorized... Then again, my Lazy Entry always acted up as well in funny way - until I disabled it. Hopefully you can do the same.

I'll have to investigate more thoroughly and report back on this. The whole seat memory system is glitchy. The memory buttons have a way a suddenly changing postions on their own. They will work for months and then suddenly one day all of the presets go to different positions. Sometimes the seat will not move forward using the preset, and only a 1/16 of inch at a time using the knobs. I have to push the forward knob 1000 times to get the seat back forward for my wife. 20 minutes later, it works fine (but the presets are not right until I reset them again). I'll check the lazy entry settings and see if they are on or off. My guess is it must be on since the seat moves with the spare FOB. Thanks!

I had erratic behavior like that on my LR3, but it was just one of the motors. The seat would recline fine, but had an intermittent "incline" function to bring it back. So, sometimes I'd get stuck reclined... mechanic diagnosed it as a bad motor. Wasn't too expensive, but it wasn't annoying enough to repair as I was selling the car.

(so right now, the new owner of my LR3 is likely driving around fully reclined looking like a gangster. :) )

I have a Range Rover Sport 3.0 2012 with the same problem where the mirrors stopped dipping

I have just followed the procedure detailed by Umbertob and this has resolved the problem - all in all less than 30 seconds

    Many Thanks

I know this is an old thread but I just got a 2010 HSE LR4 and can't for the life of me find where to make the mirror adjustment. Any help will be appreciated.

On the driver door window control buttons, the front of the controls has a "L" and "R" button, with a knob between it. select L or R, depending which mirror you want to adjust and use the knob to make the adjustment.

Thanks for responding. I meant control in the context of activating the automatic reverse dip. I have just recently activated the feature in the Gap Tool.
