Questions About Factory NAV System

If you have an LR3 with the factory NAV system, can you remove that to gain the cubby again? Also, is the factory NAV system always on, or can it be turned off?

Shutting off Navi

You can shutoff of the Nav system by going to the system settings and hit screen off. It will come back on once you touch screen.
