Just wanted to thank you guys for the info on snow tires for my D1. I wound up buying 4 Bridgestone Blizzaks DMz3's (225 75 R16) and just got to test them out for real in the blizzard on 2/12. I'm in Northern NJ, and we got at least 18 inches where I live. I was running Michelin 4x4 XPCs all around, and I might as well had been driving a sled. Aggressive tred pattern, but totally wrong compound for winter driving. I wanted the Nokians, but everywhere around me had to order them (225, 235 and 245 sizes) so I went with the blizzaks, which got a lot of good reviews. I did my best to make that truck slide, and I couldn't do it. That, combines with 4 wheel low makes the truck bulletproof. Before the blizzaks, I would set the ABS off on a slow stop in less than an inch of snow. Those days are gone, and now I steer for deep snow.:argh: :argh:
