I'm doing great towing a 23" trailer with my 2016 LR4, but I'm getting beyond terrible gas mileage. I'm pulling over every 2 hours to refuel, and it makes long trips a lot longer.

Any suggestions on how to improve that? Whether it's additives, or tune up, or driving style, I'm looking for anything that will help.

Thanks in advance!
I use an auxiliary fuel tank from long range America that goes where the spare tire was that you can but on the roof or in my case , I chose to add a kaymar bumper from Australia with swingout arm for the tire and picked up 5 gal Jerry can holder and powertank mount for 10lb propane for overlanding when not towing . Currently using stock plow hitch and blue ox wd kit

Over the summer, started towing a 21ft center console Triumph fishing boat on a 2 axle trailer. Around 5000lbs wet. Tows great but trailer has no brakes so have to be careful. I need some recommendations on some good cheap towing mirrors(either stick on wide angle ones or something else) as it's hard to back it sometimes.

Ohhh the LR3/LR4 platform of which I’ve owned 2 of each and not in succession. Currently have 08 w/72k on the clock ready to sell.

Mytrusty diesel is working out wonderfully with its new BFF InTech Sol Horizon with Rover package - how appropriate ✅

Td6 returning 14-16 mpg and an awesome 24 city and 30 hwy when not towing.

I sure wish JLR would have allowed the LR4 in diesel guise for the good ole USA.

How's that auxiliary fuel tank working out? Do you have any issues with check engine lights or other codes? I know that they started importing the tanks, but do they have any EPA certification? I have emissions checks around here.

How are you liking the L405 platform overall, compared with the LR4?

Coming from a 2016 TRD Tundra with the 5.7 to the LR4 I was concerned about towing.

The Tundra def handled larger loads better but I really like the turning ability of the LR4 because of my driveway set up.

No pics but I’ve towed my Rzr on a 12 foot utility trailer about 30 miles round trip and my Mastercraft X2 from storage to the lake & back. I will say I appreciated the AWD on the boat ramp.
