Just checked out LR Centre, and kind of amazed that going from non-adaptive to adaptive is three times as much ( £438 to £1,464), all for adding a little servo motor to steer the lights.

While this has been a neat feature in my VWs and BMWs, it’s not worth the price. At low speed it’s actually kind of distracting.

I really like the AFS in my Golfs, though prefer the Xenon version in my 2013 to the LED version in my 2018. The halogen lights in the LR4 are garbage in comparison though, I like the idea of xenon lights if they're any good. Sounds like the facelift ones are the ones to save up for?

I preferred this in my BMW as well — the Land Rover doesn’t swivel nearly as much.

I’ll say it again. Hands down the best upgrade I have made. I’ve added a lot over the years but I probably should have done this years ago. I bought some sylvania ultras to put in the fogs. I’m sure they will be plenty bright enough. I’m giving up on LED replacements for now. If I do an ARB bumper I’ll do bajas then.

Triple Rs once it’s warm out.

The facelift ones are the ones to get, in my opinion.

Keep in mind that you will also need a facelift grill and the fill piece (can be ordered for a reasonable price from Powerful UK), as well as something like the GAP Diagnostic iiD Tool that will tell the ECU that you are running xenon bulbs and that you want the DRLs on.

I don't think the halogens are that bad. The fogs are terrible, even with upgraded lamps.

For the xenon headlight cognoscenti, I have the ARB summit bar on my 2012, and still have the halogens. Given the ARB was designed for the 14+ my, and I’m not too worried about aesthetics, can I just plug n play the 14+ Valeos WITHOUT changing the grill too? Or is the physical shape of the headlight not compatible with the 2012 grill?
TIA!

The grill cutout for the headlights (where the circular part of the headlight comes toward the middle of the vehicle) is different so you will need the change the grill.
