that's a shame - The output speed sensor tells the trans when to shift, I'd go for that, it's way cheaper than tearing your trans apart. The trans people make money on tearing apart or replacing transmissions, not spending 20mins replacing a hundred dollar part (if it costs that much) that... -

Help with head gasket please.
Don't jump the gun here. you've fixed several leaks, and coolant doesn't evaporate easilly. if the coolant on your exhaust is from a leak above, it can boil and smoke sitting on the exh. Do you have coolant in the oil? (chocolate milkshake color) - NO = good. Does your top rad hose... -

Hot Transmission
If you think about it, the trans cooler is immersed in the radiator. The engine coolant (200deg.) runs thru' to cool down, it's not unusual to have 240deg. in auto trans. luck,greg -

Dead Disco
The gearshift is electrically unlocked by solenoid, normally, when you push the brake, you'll hear the solenoid release in the console. No power = no solenoid release. Might be corroded batt terminals, or blew the 100a fuse behind the batt. I agree, odd that you have nothing luck,greg -
