Differential drain bolt size

Does anyone know what type/size of socket to use to remove the front and rear diff drain bolt on a 2001 disco? Its not a normal socket, its like a square inside the bolt. I know I dont have the proper tool. Also, whats the size of the fill plug(which does appear to be a regular socket size)?

1/2 ratchet.... or breaker bar. Insert without any socket. Turn Lefty Loosy....
