Can we do a quick poll… what's everyone's idle speed? I feel like my 2010 model idles high, but I don't have a point of reference.

(I'm intentionally not stating my idle speed… as I don't want to taint the jury).

600 on the nose after it comes off cold idle. usually takes about 1-2 minutes in the current warm weather at about 720-750. In the cooler weather it would take about 3-4 minutes of 1/2 mile or so.

It idles higher when the A/C is on and it's especially hot out. I'm guessing it is to help cool the engine and drive the compressor/alternator. Mine goes up to about 1100 RPM in these situations

my 2010 is doing this. with a/c on in park the idle speed will go to 1100rpms it is hot outside 90degree plus. when put in drive the idle drops to 750 or so rpms. Is this normal?

Thanks,

Mine did that for the first time. I was sitting in the parking lot and it was went from 600 up to around 1100. I thought - oh man what's going on.

must be a temperature/ac thing when in park. This does not happen when in drive or reverse gears.
