The spacer moves the whole air strut assembly south 2.5 inches. The shorter rods adjust the air volume for this 2.5 inches, thus creating a vehicle that is 2.5 inches higher, but with the stock air bag volume (think stock springs) if you just use rods, it is like having stiffer springs.

Anyway, to make the system happy, you need to calibrate the ride height with a GAP tool or equivalent. Since you now have 2.5 inch spacers, you want to add 65mm to the stock ride height during calibration. This allows you to use access mode without ******* the computer off.
