I did not think to press on BOTH sides of that connector. Hopefully it works!
My opinion is that they design these things on purpose to make sure that only dealerships ever work on these vehicles.
From memory, this is now the 4th or 5th different electrical connector design just on this project, and I know there is at least one more connector yet to go...
And, really??, you couldn't add even one inch of slack in the wiring harness, or make it an in-line connector that can actually be reached - really?


Serious sleuthing on the SC.

I can confirm that the coupler I purchased from SCOL is the Eaton-361506.
I found a SCOL YouTube talking about authentic vs counterfit couplers. That website said the fit should be tight. They showed the install in the video and it was snug but still done by hand with no additional "coaxing".

27Nm is clear and I also find this: "The application of the sealant must be 1mm diameter. "

I will order up the Permatex Ultra Black (oil resistant).

And the oil volume is 151mL. Do Not Overfill!

Just for reference, there ain't no way on God's Green Earth that the SC was coming off without an engine hoist. It worked great!

I am making a video of the project. Hopefully I can post it shortly after I am done. It is going to be another very long beast...

Ugh. So I stripped the hex on the fill hole bolt trying to get it off the supercharger. I ended up just moving along. You can change the oil on the supercharger while it's in the vehicle... a project for another weekend now. If I don't get around to it, I know I'm going be pulling the supercharger again to have it rebuilt in 20-30k anyway. I decided that I am only going to put in what I take out if I do get around to changing the SC oil. I am afraid of overfilling.

I got the supercharger off without an engine hoist (broke it free the serpentine belt tool then took bolts that fit into the supercharger bolt holes and attached straps to them). It's on video, otherwise I don't think anyone would believe me haha. I'm 6'3" 240 lbs though. Admittedly, a lot of that weight is fat nowadays, but I spent my 20s in the military and in the gym, so despite getting winded walking to the bathroom at almost 40, I probably retained some some of that power from my early days. I also put the truck in access mode before I started the project so I had a little more leverage.

FINALLY. The electrical connector is off, but it is NOT pressing on two sides at the same time.

Press on the "outside/bottom" end at the two parallel bits.
This should lever up the end on the "inside" end of the connector, but that was not working.
So take a paint can opener and pry up on the inside, unstick everything, and then press on the outside/bottom.
Repeat. Repeat.
And eventually it comes off.

I don't remember how I did it, but I do remember feeling so frustrated and in pain (knees, knuckles, and guitar-player fingertips) that I was thinking I'd be fine if the latches just broke off...I could glue it back together. I didn't have to, but boy, is that an awful place to put a difficult connector.

Please advise..
If it is I can tell you that that is a 3mm allen wrench.

Coolant Leak
2016 at 60K miles.
It was just a seep, and I never smelled coolant.
Lower Front Crossover, passenger side.

No. That is the waste gate adjustment screw. If you unscrew it too far, you're likely to blow something. Let me find the adjustment procedure...

supercharger drain/fill plug is on topside at the back of the sc. i think the recommendation is to use a syringe to withraw what you can, then put back the same amount.
