My understanding: The LR4 never came with 18” wheels. It has bigger brakes than the LR3 and the smallest stock wheel was 19”.

The LR3 came with stock 18’s. The guy with the LR4 who sold you the wheels must have been using LR3 18” wheels with spacers, or shaved down his calipers.

On an LR3, I see no reason the stock 18” wheels wouldn’t work with the bigger tires, though I have no experience with the LR3.

I have 265/60 R18 KO2’s on Compomotives. No rub at all with this set up. Just put them on this summer.

The guys at Tuffant thought the 27 offset would probably also work with the 265/60’s, but couldn’t say for sure. If I hadn’t needed them right away, I probably would have gone this route just based on price.

Can absolutely have the ET27 offset TuffAnts on the LR4 :) My profile pic shows that set up with 265/65 tyres (Hercules Terra Trac II). This tyre/wheel combo gave minor rubbing at full lock in reverse when the tyre was new, but now no rubbing whatsoever.

I run the Compomotives with 265/65-18's KO2's.
Check out Evo Course on Mainline Overlands website.
They fit LR4 without mods as well.

Does anyone know if the new Defender 18" wheels with 255/70R18 (32.1") tires will fit the LR4? I'm guessing may need a lift-kit since standard LR4 fits a 30" tire. Not sure about the brake caliper clearance and offset etc.

I can give them a try once I get my Defender next month. These are the wheels I've optioned -

I've been wondering that same thing. I'd love to know, although at $900 PER WHEEL, not sure I'd ever pull that particular trigger. But they're really nice looking wheels.

This guy has been running those for a while. I'm on the fence about how I think they look.

I agree, they do look a bit Jeepy, but for the price I could overlook that.
As they’re in SoCal I may see if I can get to their brick and mortar location and see how they look in person.
When cash allows that is ;) right now the boss is saying no more LR stuff.
