An update to my saga - I have secured a used engine out of a wrecked 2013 and a shop is going to put it in for me. It won't be cheap, but still less expensive than getting something else with its own unknowns. While the engine is out, I am going to do some preventative things. Namely - injectors, front crossover, rear crossover, water pump and all the assorted bits that go along with it. Does anyone have the part numbers of the updated crossover parts where they're one piece and not two halves jammed and glued together? I want to ensure I am getting the most up to date parts. Thanks!

Before installing my pipes I coated them with a light coat of plastic epoxy....esp in the places where they "join". I don't think they'd ever fail on me again. The damn thing is like concrete now.

I'm curious about the rear crossover. Do you have a part number? I did the front at 75,000 miles. Neither rover parts nor my mechanic mentioned anything about a rear?

Here's what I posted for someone wanting to overhaul their cooling... I'm sure you'll find better pricing if you shopped around.
ALL OEM Parts!!

Water pump ($225) - https://www.autohausaz.com/.../128504_20_5824_1__7_6-RV...
Oil cooler tube ($25) - https://www.autohausaz.com/.../118793_20_3842_1__5_8-RV...
Front crossover pipe ($127) - https://www.autohausaz.com/.../118793_134_3842_1__5_8-RV...
Rear crossover pipe ($127) - https://www.autohausaz.com/.../95999_134_3842_1__5_8-RV...
Thermostat ($98) - https://www.autohausaz.com/.../136928_134_5824_1__7_6-RV...
Coolant ($28ea) - https://www.fcpeuro.com/.../land-rover-engine-coolant...

Water pump $225
Oil cooler tube $25
Front crossover tube $127
Rear crossover tube $127
Thermostat $98
2 gallons of coolant $56
= Total $658
Knowing you won't be stuck on the side of the road, because of overheating, priceless! You’ll also be good for another 100k+ miles.
FCPeuro.com has lifetime warranty and may have better pricing on certain parts.

Honestly, I'd take this opportunity to swap over to dexcool instead of oem coolant. Also, a brass BMW bleeder screw.

I just bought some new pipes from dealer and they were the sandwich variety. Considering the failure point is at the pipe end and not the seam I am not worried. Originals went 11 years and 130k miles.
